Man dies after fall from train at Malahide

Dublin, 4 January 1915 - James McGrane (36), a farmer from Swords, was killed instantly today when he fell from the express train to Dublin at Malahide Station.

Mr. McGrane attempted to alight from the train as it partially slowed while entering Malahide. He appears to have misjudged the speed at which the train was travelling and stepped from a door into the air.

He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
