Man killed during game of pitch-and-toss in Dundalk

Published: 8 June 1914

Thomas Duffy, a Dundalk man, has died following an altercation during a  game of pitch-and-toss.

Three brothers - Thomas, Bernard and Peter Campbell - have been arrested and are charged with causing actual bodily harm. An argument arose at the end of the game as to who was entitled to the winnings.

It ended with Duffy being hit with a stone in the course of a fight.
