Summer Here at Last
Today was the warmest day of the summer so far. While June was very dry, only the last ten days or so can be described as summery. The dry weather has made farmers uneasy in crop-growing areas, but when it comes to summer not everyone can be pleased. Farmers complain they want more rain, while city folk and shopkeepers want it warm and dry. The rush of orders at the shops are, according to some seasoned weather watchers, a sure sign of a fine summer stretching ahead of us.
