‘Made in Ireland’ train for Canada?
The Council of the Cork Industrial Development Association has received an invitation from Toronto to organise a ‘Made In Ireland’ train, which would then cross the great country of Canada. The aim is to fill the train with Irish made products and to staff it with representatives of Irish firms. In journeying from Calgary to New Brunswick, a journey of some 12,000 miles, Irish made goods would have the opportunity to be showcased to the ever growing and prosperous Canadian population. It is a market that is potentially worth millions to Irish manufacturers and perhaps an opportunity that should be availed of.
