Madame Caillaux acquitted of murder

Madame Caillaux has been acquitted of the murder of Le Figaro editor Gaston Calmette. On the announcement of the verdict loud cheers broke out in court. Mme. Caillaux fainted in the dock and paroxysms of weeping followed.

Some of the counsel came to blows as the president ordered that Mme. Caillaux should immediately be set at liberty.
