Wife of Italian ice-cream vendor murdered in Sligo

Sligo, 23 December 1914 - Two people have been arrested and charged with the murder of Rose De Lucia in Co. Sligo this month.

The accused are Angelo De Lucia, an ice-cream vendor and husband of the murdered woman, and Jane Reynolds, their servant.

A hammer was found beside the dead woman, who had recently given birth to her first child.
