Two women and a man were beheaded in Germany today. At Gaudenz in West Prussia, Margarete Hass was beheaded for deliberately poisoning her husband.

At Strasburg, Magdalene Wendel and her lover, a man called H Wirth, were executed for the murder of the woman’s husband, who was also poisoned.

There are reports that Ms. Hass collapsed when she saw the block and the headsman in evening dress with a great axe in his hand.
