Tullamore man tears down recruitment posters
A Tullamore man has been imprisoned for one month with hard labour, under the Defence of the Realm Act, for tearing down recruitment posters in his home tome. Aloysius Brennan from Church Street in the town was convicted of damaging a Government army recruiting poster by tearing it down and defacing it. Mr. Brennan’s denial of the act was ignored by the court and he was advised to use his time in prison for reflection.
