Belfast Celtic crowned Irish League champions
Belfast,13 December 1914 - Belfast Celtic won the Irish League yesterday for only the second time in the club’s history, defeating Distillery at Celtic Park.
Celtic's main rivals, Glentoran, could only manage a draw with Linfield meaning that a single point separated the two teams at the top of the table after the 14 game season.
Linfield finished the season in third with Bohemians rooted to the bottom of the table, having failed to win a single match and drawing only once.
