The State Funeral of Thomas Kent

The State funeral of Thomas Kent, took place in his home village in Cork on Friday, 18th September 2015. He one of 16 men executed following the 1916 Rising.
Kent was executed by firing squad following his conviction for armed rebellion in May 1916. President Michael D Higgins joined members of his family at St Nicholas' Church in Castlelyons.
Kent, who had been buried in Cork Prison, was laid to rest alongside
his brothers. Taoiseach Enda Kenny delivered the graveside
oration
Gabriel Doherty, UCC, joins David McCullagh in studio, while John
