This episode looks at the leader of 1916 through the prism of his family, and explores the lives of his siblings and parents - to paint a fresh portrait of one of the most studied figures in Irish history. Myles Dungan speaks to Mary Louise O'Donnell and Teresa O'Donnell who are working on a forthcoming book about Patrick Pearse's sisters, Margaret and Mary Brigid.
Also speaking on the prgramme are Brian Crowley, curator of the Pearse Museum and author of the book Patrick Pearse: A Life in Pictures, and Ruan O'Donnell of the University of Limerick is the author of the forthcoming biography Patrick Pearse, which will form part of the 16 Lives series from O'Brien Press.
