Widow Remanded Following Murder of Two Infants
Mary McDonagh was remanded today following her murder charge. Also today, the Inquest into the death of the two infants was opened. On hearing how the first child’s body had been discovered by a domestic servant in the house, a juror fainted and had to receive medical attention. Dr Keane, who had performed the post mortem on the bodies stated that they were both males, and that one had been dead for two years, the other for about four weeks. He believed they were both born alive.
