Preparations for the 1916 Olympic Games for Berlin begin
The Special Committee planning the Olympic Games for Berlin in 1916 has announced details of funds that will be made available to allow athletes to develop over the next three years. The Amateur Athletic Association has been given £1,200 to provide for trials and training facilities, the Amateur Swimming Association has been granted £300 to allow for three time trial events, and the National Cyclists’ Union has been given additional funds to encourage young talent.
