Plans for Transatlantic Crossing in Hydroplane

The Aero Club of America has announced plans to attempt the 3,000 mile transatlantic crossing from New York to Ireland. They have stated that the attempt will be made, without a refuelling stop. The ‘hydroplane’ that they will use, which is at present unbuilt, has been named after the President of the Aeronautical Society, Felix Twombly.
