Man gored by bull

A farmer, William Reilly, of Drumanyplydle, Belturbet, was attacked by a bull last night. He had spent the day hay making, and had gone out to a field at 10pm to milk his cows. While busily milking, he failed to spot the bull which attacked him, knocking him down, smashing his ribs and causing severe injuries.

At first Mr Reilly’s injuries were viewed as so terrible that it was believed he would not recover. Fortunately, however, his condition is not as serious as first feared and he is making good progress.
