Football association bans officials and players from football pools

A Commission appointed by the Football Association has found that betting on football pools has become prevalent at clubs across the country. While they found no evidence that players or officials were betting on games they were involved in, the Commission argues that betting has become a menace to the game. It has recommended that the FA prohibits all officials and players from taking part in football pools, and that anyone found to have done so should be permanently banned from the game.
