Dublin Housing Question Discussed at Meeting

The issue of housing in Dublin was addressed last night at a meeting organised by the Statistical and Social Inquiry Society. Pioneering reformers such as Lord Iveagh, Lord Ardilaun and Lord Meath were applauded for their efforts, but Dr Faulkner warned against complacency. He warned the audience that whole the death rate from tuberculosis was falling generally, it could not be reduced in certain parts of Dublin as long as victims were allowed to die in tenement rooms surrounded by their families.
