Candidates for Dublin municipal election announced
The Town Clerk, Mr Henry Campbell, today received the nomination papers of candidates for election to the Dublin Municipal Council.
Thirty-one candidates will contest the ten Aldermanships while fifty candidates have put their names forward for the twenty Councillorship positions. Mr James Devlin is unopposed for the Councillorship in the Royal Exchange Ward, leaving twenty-nine seats in total to be contested.
Among the candidates is Mr Donnelly, a former worker of the Dublin Tramways Company, who is contesting the Kilmainham ward. Mr James Larkin is due to attend a rally in support of the Labour candidate in the coming days.
