Stand collapses at GAA match
The case of the supporter who is currently suing the GAA following the collapse of a stand at Jones’ Road was yesterday adjourned for one week.
John Ledwidge has taken the action against members of the Central Council the GAA for injuries sustained when a stand collapsed at the ground on 29 June 1913. When asked by the judge if the stand had been built by 'proper Gaelic workmen', Mr Wylie, speaking for the defence, stated: 'The grounds do not belong to us; we only had the use of them.'
