Small crowd as Kerry and Tipp share the spoils in Cork

Cork, 10 July 1916 - A small crowd turned up at the Cork Athletic Grounds so see Kerry and Tipperary face off in the Munster junior hurling and senior football championships.

In the hurling Tipperary annihilated Kerry, winning by a huge margin, 9-1 to nil.

In the football championship, the margin was just seven points in a game in which a young Kerry team were clearly superior. The match was somewhat spoiled by appalling weather as it rained throughout. Kerry ran out winners by 2-2 to 0-1.
