New dockers’ strike in Dublin

Dublin, 7 May 1915 - A strike involving 170 dockers took place on the south quays in Dublin yesterday. The strike was called when it was announced that wages were to be cut from 8d per ton to 7½d per ton for discharging a vessel. There are ships currently lying quayside waiting for their cargo to be unloaded.

There is no sign of resolution to the current dispute, with memories of the Lockout still fresh.
