Man with 16 foot long beard dies
Tunbridge Wells, 19 February 1915 - An Englishman who grew his beard to the length of 16 feet has died at his home at Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
Richard Latter, who was 84 when he died, had grown a fine beard as a young man and was sufficiently proud of it to resolve never to cut it. Eventually the beard grew so long that he was forced to plait it.
