Mallow bride left at the altar
A Mallow bride was left at the altar yesterday when neither the bridegroom nor the best man turned up to Mallow parish church.
May White, daughter of Commander Hansfield White, from Springfort Hall, had been due to marry Captain Koster, of the South Lancashire Regiment. Up to 200 guests had arrived and a military band was engaged for the occasion.
Neither the bride nor her parents can account for the turn of events which have occurred. The incident has cause quite a stir in Mallow social circles.
