A 33-year-old Irish doctor has died from an overdose of cocaine.

Dr. Patrick Henry Black, who had previously practised at Dalkey in Dublin and at the Rotunda and St. Vincent’s Hospitals, was found dead in the Windsor Hotel on the Strand in London.

The deceased man’s brother gave evidence to the Coroner’s Court in Westminster that his brother did not drink to excess but that he indulged in taking cocaine.

The jury returned a verdict of death by misadventure.
