Cardinal Logue leads Irish National Pilgrimage to Lourdes
Cardinal Michael Logue is heading a vast pilgrimage of 3,000 Irish Catholics that left yesterday from Lourdes. Huge crowds gathered at quaysides in Dublin, Rosslare and Belfast to cheer off the pilgrims, many of whom are invalids. Accompanying the pilgrims on their journey are a team of doctors, nurses and ambulance attendants. This, the first ever Irish National Pilgrimage to Lourdes, is also being recorded by cinematographers.
